- SynopsisBased on the book by Lorenzo Carcaterra. Tells the story of four boys who are abused by a sadistic paedophile who works as a guard in the correction home to which they were sent in the 1960s. Eleven years later, two of them re-encounter the guard and gun him down in front of witnesses. The other two boys, one now an assistant district attorney, the other a reporter stage manage their defence, and call on the help of a sympathetic Catholic priest to provide a false alibi. (Synopsis) In 1967 four boys are arrested and sentenced to nine to eighteen months in the Wilkinson Home for Boys. Here they suffer abuse from the chief guard who is a sadistic paedophile. In 1981 the boys have grown up and are pursuing their own lives until two of them come across the guard and gun him down in full view of several witnesses. One of the boys, now an assistant D.A. gets the case as prosecutor and is determined to lose it, with the help of their childhood mentor, Father Bobby who must lie under oath to provide a false alibi.
